Pump Supplies Expands Expertise with Acquisition of PDAS
Pump Supplies, a leading supplier of electric submersible water pumps in the UK, is pleased to announce the acquisition of PDAS Holdings Ltd, a market leader in wastewater pumping station maintenance and monitoring. This strategic acquisition, facilitated through Pump Supplies’ parent company Vestum AB, marks a significant milestone in strengthening our capabilities within the water infrastructure sector.
PDAS, established in 2014, has built a solid reputation as a specialist in the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of advanced pumping stations across the UK. The company is renowned for its intelligent monitoring systems, utilising remote telemetry and cloud-based technology to provide real-time monitoring and maintenance of wastewater systems. PDAS’s innovative solutions have positioned it as a leader in the proactive maintenance of wastewater pumping stations, serving both residential and commercial developments.
Luke Beattie, Managing Director of Pump Supplies, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “I am delighted to welcome the entire PDAS team to the Pump Supplies family. This acquisition allows us to combine our strengths and inspire greater confidence in our services. PDAS’s expertise in intelligent monitoring aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing comprehensive pumping solutions.”
With 63 employees based in Surrey, England, PDAS will now operate under the umbrella of Pump Supplies, which itself employs 89 staff across five depots in England, Wales, and Ireland. The integration of PDAS into Pump Supplies is expected to create significant synergies, leveraging Pump Supplies’ extensive customer network to accelerate growth in recurring revenue.
Simon Göthberg, CEO of Vestum, emphasised the strategic importance of the acquisition: “The acquisition of PDAS is an excellent addition to Vestum’s portfolio, enhancing our capabilities in the water segment. PDAS’s strength in intelligent monitoring systems complements Pump Supplies’ offerings, allowing us to deliver even more value to our customers. This acquisition underscores our commitment to expanding our water infrastructure segment through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.”
During the 2023/2024 fiscal year, PDAS generated sales exceeding 15 million with an EBITA margin consistent with Vestum Group’s standards. The purchase was financed through existing cash and credit facilities, highlighting Vestum’s robust financial strategy and commitment to growth.
This acquisition is Vestum’s first in two years, signifying a renewed focus on enhancing its water infrastructure segment. As part of this strategy, Vestum aims to make the water segment its largest, capitalising on synergies and expanding service offerings.
As Pump Supplies integrates PDAS into its operations, customers can expect enhanced service delivery, innovative solutions, and a continued commitment to excellence. This acquisition represents a pivotal step forward in our mission to lead in the water infrastructure industry across the UK. View this short video to find out more
