Severe flooding hit South Yorkshire, causing widespread disruption and placing critical infrastructure at risk. The Environment Agency urgently required large-scale pumping support to help alleviate floodwaters, protect communities, and minimise further damage. A rapid, coordinated response was essential, with significant pumping capacity needed to manage fast-changing water levels across multiple locations.

SOLUTION

Pump Supplies immediately mobilised a large fleet of equipment, deploying more than 30 x 12” submersible drainage pumps, over 2km of pipework, along with valves, control panels, and generators.

Our experienced engineers worked side-by-side with Environment Agency teams around the clock for ten days, continuously positioning and repositioning pumps to manage flows and redirect floodwater to safer discharge points.
