Our Port Talbot depot and head office operate from a 3.5acre site close to the M4 (J38). The depot is adjacent to the huge Tata Steel plant and is in the same area where the business started back in 1982.
The facility specialises in all aspects of electric submersible pump hire, sales and service covering local heavy industry and the wider general and municipal market. The large outside storage area is also home to the vast stocks of the larger diameter pipework that we operate in our hire fleet (450mm/600mm)
Our service facility here offers a full repair service on all types of submersible pumps including Ex units.
Our Gloucester depot is located on the site of the old airfield in Moreton Valence, and is the central hub to our business operations. Supporting customers spanning the Midlands, South East and East England, our Gloucester depot engineers are experts throughout many industries and applications and was central to supporting the Environment Agency during the very wet winters in 2014 & 2015, to alleviate the devastating flood water in the South and North West England.
Purpose built in 2009 the depot is the central warehouse to both our hire fleet and our strategic stock of new pumps and spareparts. The modern service & repair workshop is able to repair 'EX' approved pumps, offering full pressure and performance tests whilst dedicated teams of engineers are able to provide on-site installation and support.
Opened in 2002, our Northern operations are centered around our Winsford depot, supporting our customers in North Wales, Northern England and Scotland.
The depot covers all aspects of our business operations in pump hire, sales and service but is paticularly active in new pump station installation and also pump station refurbishment.
Our Bodmin depot is location just off the A30 in Cornwall and supports many customers throughout both Cornwall and Devon.
Fully supported by our service and installation engineers the depot is able to supply the full scope of our business offerings including a large range of equipment readily available for hire. It also offers an impressive service and repair facility.
The depot is supported by a full fleet of on-site service vans and delivery/offloading fleet of trucks.
The Irish office is based just outside Wexford with a yard and storage area close to the ferry port of Rosslare. This is ideal for swift shipment of hire pumps and equipment to and from Port Talbot depot with excellent ferry and transport links via Pembroke and Fishguard. We transfer equipment to and from Wexford on regular shipments and have been doing so for over twenty years.
Terry has run the Irish business for the whole of that period and has vast experience in the marketplace.
Andrew started the Pump Supplies business in 1982 after working for Workdry Pump Hire and Sales as a hire controller in their South Wales depot in Bridgend for 2 years and when it was decided to close the depot, Andrew purchased nearly all the submersible pump fleet and started Pump Supplies. Based at our Port Talbot depot, Andrew works closely to assist our customer base in South Wales, whilst overseeing the whole Pump Supplies business operation.
Outside of work Andrew runs a semi-professional rugby team, The Aberavon Wizards who play in the Principality Premiership in Wales.
David has been with the Company over 20 years having overall responsibility for the Accounts / IT functions. His initial task was to computerise the manual based Accounting system and integrate with the new 'Hiremate' application.
Having worked with and developed the systems, it was time to move forward in April 2016. David lead a team to evaluate the Companies future requirements from its Hire software, moving to and implementing the 'InspHire' system in November 2016.
Rob has been with Pump Supplies since 1998, originally joining the business as a sales engineer. Now responsible for all large contracts, Rob has delivered some huge overpumping schemes and works tirelessly with many of our key customers to deliver the right solutions.
Prior to joining Pump Supplies, Rob worked on many Construction and Tunnelling schemes both in the UK and further afield.
Steve has spent 16 years with Pump Supplies with the last 9 years focused on large projects & the development of hire fleet control equipment including on-going electrical support & training across all depots.
Ten years as a time served engineer with ICI, Steve has also served as an Electrical Officer in the Merchant Navy & has 7 years hands on & management experience gained at Severn Trent Water covering both clean & dirty water engineering environments.
Philip has been with the company for over 13 years, originally joining the business as Health & Safety manager bringing with him 10 years operational and engineering experience from the quarrying industry.
He completed a B.Eng degree while sponsored by Hanson Aggregates and since joining Pump Supplies Ltd has completed the Nebosh Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
Phil now combines the Health & Safety role with his Depot Manager position at our Gloucester depot.
Having joined the business in 2016, Steven brings with him over 14 years knowledge and experience working with pumps and pumping equipment having previously worked at Flygt pumps since leaving University in 2001.
Steven completed a Severn Trent sponsored Supply Chain diploma in 2007, which focused on improving supply chain business efficiencies within a typical UK water authority.
